BEST RO SYSTEMS WE INSTALL (GOOD / BETTER / BEST) — NASHVILLE • FRANKLIN • BRENTWOOD

GOOD — UNDER‑SINK (TANKED) — “BEST REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM UNDER SINK”
  • What it is: Classic reverse osmosis drinking water system with a reverse osmosis storage tank (≈2–4 gal) feeding a dedicated RO faucet; can tee to the fridge/ice maker.

  • Why it’s great: Fast first‑glass flow, no continuous power needed, proven reliability.

  • Typical stage stack: Sediment → Activated Carbon (taste/odor + protects the membrane) → RO membrane → Carbon post‑filter → optional remineralization.

  • Certs we require: We recommend models certified to NSF/ANSI 58 for RO performance (TDS reduction baseline ≥75%). US EPA+1

WHAT NASHVILLE AREA WATER REALLY MEANS FOR FAMILIES

NASHVILLE'S 2024 CCR SHOWS THE WATER MEETS EPA LIMITS—BUT HERE'S WHAT ELSE:

Chlorine by-products (TTHMs & HAA5) are present at levels up to 90–100× higher than health guidelines (per EWG).
– Nashville has confirmed 2,800 lead service lines, with 76,000 more still under review.
Hard water from our limestone geology leaves scale on dishes and appliances.
Legally safe ≠ optimal. That’s why families add RO at the tap.

BETTER — TANKLESS (COMPACT) — OUR TEAM FAVORITE
  • What it is: Sleek tankless reverse osmosis system that produces water continuously. Requires continuous power under the sink; if your outlet is switched to the disposal, we can coordinate an electrician (private client rate).

  • Speed tip: We add a mini‑tank so your first 1–2 glasses pour quickly, then it reverts to on‑demand production.

  • Representative specs (from our 600‑GPD brochure): ~600 GPD capacity, ~0.4 GPM delivery, 0.0001 μm membrane precision, auto‑flush, and a 1.5:1 low drain ratio. Components are tested by Intertek to NSF/ANSI/CAN‑372 (lead‑free). Exact specs vary by model we install.

Power check (60 seconds): Plug a phone charger into the outlet under your sink. If it charges without turning on the disposal switch, you have continuous power (OK for tankless). If it only charges when the disposal runs, it’s a switched outlet—we’ll add a proper outlet before install.

Box-1

BEST — TANKLESS + REMINERALIZATION + WHOLE HOME WATER FILTRATION / SOFTENER

WHOLE-HOME FILTRATION + SOFTENING (POINT OF ENTRY)

  • 10×54 whole-home water filtration/softening system installed where water enters the house.

  • Removes chlorine/chloramine, reduces hardness minerals, and cuts down on other contaminants for every tap in your home.

  • Benefits: no more chlorine showers, less scale on toilets, tile, and glass, and longer life for your appliances and water mechanicals.

  • Dermatologists around the country recommend whole-home filtration + softening for healthier skin and hair.

TANKLESS REVERSE OSMOSIS WITH REMINERALIZATION (POINT OF USE)

  • Our compact tankless RO system under your sink, finished with an alkaline post-filter to add back natural minerals for taste and balance.
  • Optional mini-tank or booster pump available for homes with low water pressure — so your first 1–2 glasses pour quickly.
  • Certified performance: we install systems tested to NSF/ANSI 58 (RO performance) and NSF/ANSI 372 (lead-free materials).

Power check (60 seconds): Plug a phone charger into the outlet under your sink. If it charges without turning on the disposal switch, you have continuous power (OK for tankless). If it only charges when the disposal runs, it’s a switched outlet—we’ll add a proper outlet before install.

INSTALLED COST & FINANCING — HOW MUCH DOES A REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM COST?
(MIDDLE TN)

We keep pricing straightforward. Your exact reverse osmosis system cost depends on choices like tanked vs tankless, remineralization, mini‑tank, booster/permeate pump, and whether electrical is needed under the sink.

WHAT THIRD‑PARTY SOURCES SAY (HELPFUL BENCHMARKS):

  • Under‑sink RO installed: national guides show $300–$950 typical. Our competitors typically charge around 1,500 for just the RO installed. HomeGuide

  • Average across system types: $1,000–$7,900 (mix of softener/RO equipment + labor), with many our our customers homes near $3,350. Home Advisor+1

Our promise: We’ll show you all‑in local pricing before work begins. Ask about payment options or financing if you prefer to spread out the investment. Financing can take the monthly cost down to as low as $25-$100 a month.

FILTER & MEMBRANE REPLACEMENT — REVERSE OSMOSIS MAINTENANCE

  • Reverse osmosis filter replacement: Sediment & carbon every 6–12 months (protect taste and the membrane). We set reminders and can handle it for you. CDC recommends following the manufacturer’s schedule and notes that people with weakened immunity shouldn’t change filters themselves. CDC

  • Reverse osmosis membrane replacement: Typically multi‑year when protected and maintained. WaterSense includes a membrane‑life requirement (labeling ensures baseline longevity) and requires ≥75% TDS reduction in testing. US EPA

  • Typical filter costs: National guides list $20–$100 for replacement filter sets, depending on brand and stage count. HomeGuide

PROFESSIONAL INSTALLATION — “REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM INSTALLATION NEAR ME"

What’s included: placement under the sink, air‑gap faucet (backflow protection), tidy drain connection, fridge line on request, and clean silicone/escutcheon work.

  • Air‑gap protection: WQA and many codes call for a proper air‑gap on POU RO to prevent back‑siphon contamination; some jurisdictions allow an under‑sink air‑gap device if you don’t use an air‑gap faucet. We install to manufacturer guidance and local code. Water Quality Association+1

  • Timeline: Most standard installs are completed same visit; stone drilling or electrical may add a little time.

  • Already comparing brands (Culligan / Aquasana / iSpring / APEC / GE / Waterdrop)? Bring their model number and cert sheet—we’ll translate the NSF/ANSI claims and the waste ratio into plain English so you can compare apples to apples. (Pro tip: prioritize NSF/ANSI 58, plus WaterSense where available.) US EPA

WHY WE DON’T PUSH WHOLE‑HOUSE RO
(AND WHAT TO DO INSTEAD)

Whole‑house reverse osmosis systems are factory‑grade: storage tank + re‑pressurization + strict pre‑treatment. They’re expensive and complex for city water. National guides put whole house reverse osmosis system cost in the $4,800–$20,000 range installed. For Middle TN families, you’ll get nearly all the benefits by pairing a softener/whole‑home carbon with a reverse osmosis system for home at the kitchen—simpler, 10× less, and easier to maintain.

BUY ON THESE, NOT HYPE

KEY SPECS THAT MATTER

  • GPD (GALLONS PER DAY): Rate at standardized conditions; tanked = fast first pours from storage, tankless = continuous production.

  • TDS REDUCTION & CERTS: Look for NSF/ANSI 58 (baseline ≥75% TDS reduction); WaterSense® adds efficiency and membrane‑life and requires the waste‑to‑treated ratio on the label. US EPA+1

  • STAGES: Sediment → Carbon → RO membrane → Carbon → optional remineralization (taste/pH).

  • WASTE RATIO: Older units ran 3–4:1; modern designs (like our 600‑GPD tankless) list ~1.5:1. WaterSense‑labeled models must be ≤2.3:1.

  • BOOSTER / PERMEATE PUMP: We add these when pressure or layout calls for it.

  • 5‑STAGE REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEMS: Stage count matters less than certified performance and maintenance.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

STRAIGHT ANSWERS TO SMART QUESTIONS

CAN I GET A REFUND?

Yes. We offer a no-questions-asked, 90-day money-back guarantee. If you don’t love your water, we’ll remove the system and refund you in full. To date, we’ve never had a refund request—we’re that confident you’ll keep it.

ARE YOUR TECHS LICENSED PLUMBERS?

Yes. All installs are done by licensed plumbers who follow local code and manufacturer guidance. We also include an air-gap faucet or device to protect against backflow, as recommended by the Water Quality Association.

Most other companies have techs that are not licensed plumbers, which can cause serious plumbing issues later on if these systems are not installed correctly.

ARE THERE ANY DISCOUNTS?

We don’t inflate our prices just to offer holiday discounts. Instead, we believe in transparent, fair pricing year-round, so families can access clean water without games.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS FROM PHONE CALL TO INSTALL?

We start with a 15-minute discovery call to answer your questions, review your setup (power under sink, crawlspace, renting vs owning), and pick an install time. If your situation is unique, we’ll do an in-person consult before scheduling.

WHAT IF I DON’T HAVE POWER UNDER MY SINK?

This is very common. If you want tankless RO, we’ll send an electrician to add a continuous outlet (usually within a week or two). If you’d rather skip that, we can install a tanked system that needs no power.

DO YOU ROUTE RO WATER TO THE MAIN FAUCET OR ADD A NEW SPOUT? We install a dedicated faucet for your RO water. Standard options include minimalist black or stainless steel. If you want a custom finish, we can do that too. We drill neatly through stone or metal with specialty bits.
HOW LONG DOES THE INSTALL TAKE?
  • RO system only: 2–3 hours.

  • Softener + RO combo: 4–6 hours depending on layout.
    Same-day completion is standard.

WHAT CAN WE DO TO PREPARE FOR THE CALL? Bring your spouse or partner if possible. Write down your questions, and make sure the calendar invite is accepted so you don’t miss the slot.
WHAT CAN I DO TO PREPARE FOR THE INSTALL? Clear out the under-sink cabinet to give our plumber space if you have the time. For softeners, clear space in the garage or crawlspace near the main water line. If you don’t know where that is, don’t worry—we’ll help find it and can add a shut-off valve if needed.
Cleaning isn't required at all, but it can help speed up the install.

Also if you have hearing sensitive kids, or important meetings please let us know so we can make sure to notify you when there are any loud noises or drilling.
DO YOU OFFER OTHER PLUMBING SERVICES? Yes. While water treatment is our specialty, our licensed plumbers can handle many related plumbing tasks during a service visit.

Our next plumbing service we are getting into is tankless water heaters, if you have any questions about that be sure to ask on the call or in person.
HOW MUCH DOES A REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM COST? National averages: $1,000–$4,800 across all system types; our RO systems installed often fall around $950. Your quote varies with add-ons (remineralization, mini-tank, fridge line, electrical). We show all-in local pricing upfront.

While you can just install the RO, we strongly  recommend having a water softener for the whole home. These systems are specifically manufactured to go after a water softener system, they are not built to handle the chlorine levels and water hardness we have in Middle TN and need a pre-filter.

Not having a water softener will void the manufacturer warranty and our refund policy.
WHAT ABOUT REVERSE OSMOSIS SYSTEM INSTALLATION NEAR ME? We install in Nashville, Franklin, Brentwood, and surrounding Middle TN.
Our main service area focus is from Green Hills/Belle Meade down to Spring Hill. We also service Leipers Fork and Nolensville/Arrington/College Grove.
Due to traffic and our current staffing/warehouse location, we are unable to reliably service areas North/East of Nashville
HOW OFTEN DO I NEED TO CHANGE REVERSE OSMOSIS FILTERS?
  • Sediment & carbon: every 6–12 months.

  • RO membrane: multi-year with proper care.
Follow the manufacturer’s schedule; WaterSense-labeled models also include membrane-life testing .

HOW MUCH DOES A REVERSE OSMOSIS FILTER REPLACEMENT COST?

Most replacement filter sets cost $20–$100 per year depending on the system. We stock filters locally and set up reminders so you never forget.
